James joins Jim and Shivane at Fenwicke Financial after four years at Koda Capital, one of Australia’s largest independent wealth management firms. He completed his Professional Year there and progressed to adviser, working with a number of significant Australian families on their investment and wealth management needs.
Before his career in advice, James spent almost a decade playing rugby professionally across Australia, New Zealand and Japan, including Super Rugby with the ACT Brumbies. James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). He holds a Master of Applied Finance and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning through Kaplan.
James believes good advice is often simple, but rarely easy. He enjoys helping families work through genuinely complex problems, which is what drew him to Fenwicke Financial. Jim has built the firm around a family’s whole financial life rather than just their investments, which James believes is of the greatest value.
James lives in Sydney with his wife and young son. Away from work he still follows rugby closely, and enjoys golf and time with family and friends.
